God bless the broken road

A few thoughts from the Swather:

In Summer there is no escape from fans -as in the whirly things that move air- in the machine, in the shop, in my room, they are everywhere! Subsequently summer lacks silence.

God has a thing for sparrows, he always lets them, even the babie ones, escape my big red vehicle of teeth and hate.

Love is everywhere, and what a bum we've made of it. The only songs on the radio not about love are about drinking. Even those come from Love -it's loss.

Love is alot like redemption, or at least it takes the same place in our hearts. Lewis said that "all love speaks with the voice of God" because it is apart of who we are that longs for him. I think that's why it talks us into so much trouble. Hugo said:

The greatest happiness in life is the conviction that we are
loved- loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves.
That love for ourselves part is what we want. People are dying for something but they can't figure out what it is.

There is alot of life to live, do I want it? Just about the whole book of philipians is paul talking about this burn to see God, yet how he wants to help out around here. Is God going to make me a match or a candle?

much love all
