... And The Children Of Men
Yesterday was my Sunday to serve in my church's nursery, which meant:
+ drool on the shirt
+ animal crackers!
+ and occasionally, Naps
I get stoked about naps.
We brought the kids outside, on account of the wonderful weather. And with me laying in the grass, a toddler clasp tightly to my ear for support, the other workers began singing those wonderfully simple Sunday school songs.
And I couldn't help but find blessing in it.
I had to thank God for the innocence and the blessing of Children. To watch them begin to stand on their own, and then walk, and smile, surrounded by the simple truth of a God and Father that loves them. My mind wandered from my thoughts of Poverty and being a CNA and School and rested in those very simple truths. It felt like a holy place, a safe place. It was a blessed repose.
"... for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."
Grace and Peace
