Zen and The Art of Longboard Maintenance

As I mentioned in my last post, I bought a Longboard this week and have had a blast riding it around. My board is a Sector Nine "Zen" bamboo board with this awesome graphic on the bottom! But there was always something wrong. I could not for the life of me get really comfortable on that board! I was always fighting for my balance. I thought it was just a feng shui thing, until I remembered what the bro at the board shop said about beating in my trucks. Apparently after the first few days of riding I was suppose to tighten up "the suspension" so to speak. Upon the revelation I tightened them up and went for a ride. The difference was incredible! It wasn't even a struggle keeping my balance, or pushing off or anything. There is something really calming about standing still, yet moving. Longboarding is like exercise and therapy for me, It's really neat. Just for kicks and giggles I rode down to the local store and bought myself a sprite. Picture a short stocky kid, with a two week beard, ear stud, Gigantic skateboard, and YALE Tee shirt standing in line at one of the most po-dunk farmer-hick stops in the valley.

I feel it's my mission to bring culture to Halsey. Lets just hope they don't stone me.

I'm not a Hindu, though I do enjoy the design. Thanks for the concern ;)

Not that picture, it is a neat design. I meant the word picture:
